Happy Friday! Hope you’re all out there managing to stay dry in this unpleasant weather. I’m surprised that the rain actually hasn’t been as heavy as the forecasters have predicted – based on all the news coverage the storms received, I was expecting 3 days of non-stop rain!
Anyhow, the San Francisco historical picture of the week is of flooded streets at the corner of Market and 14th Street from the rainy season in 1944.
The big building on the corner is gone today and in its place sits Safeway. You can even see the New Mint in the background.
