Get that tax credit before it's gone!
I’ve had people tell me they’re buying a home in 2009 JUST because of the tax credit Uncle Sam is giving away this year. But for those that are serious about actually using it, the credit is about to expire on November 20th, that’s JUST 47 days. I think the unopened lactose-free milk in my fridge will last longer than that.
Considering that you need to APPLY for the loan, GET the loan, FIND the house, get the OFFER ACCEPTED, and then CLOSE escrow, the reality is, if you don’t get off your butts and start the process in the next week or so, and Uncle Sam chooses not to extend the deadline, then, well – no tax credit for you!
